Jackson Nursery Design

So the other night I stumbled upon picture of a nursery in a property for sale.
The nursery was ideally for a boy, it had deep dark wallpaper and wooden furniture.
It appealed to me highly and I am not sure why,
maybe it was how cosy it looked and safe.
I feel like its so easy to be swayed by what is on trend, the whole Scandinavian white nurseries with pastels, and the bright and bold kids rooms full of life and color.
But look at this photograph and tell me your heart doesn't love the masculinity it portrays,
the strong warm timbers and the dark navy are just delightful together.

After being inspired I decided to try my hand at designing such a room.
This is my result.
I call it the "Jackson Nursery", which is a fitting strong name.
And who doesn't love woodlands and bears!
The crib and dresser are from Dwell Studios
The woodland bear sheets are off Etsy and by lovemaedesigns
The cushion and born free wall decal are from Pony Rider
The bear flag and "Hey there baby bear" apparel is also off Etsy and by Strawberry Moth
The wall print is by Pop Factory Shop

Enjoy

Fable Baby

I have adored simple baby apparel, not simple and boring but organic, textured, soft and subtle patterned baby apparel. To me Fable Baby's designs are all of those things. Fable Baby started in 2012 by Phoebe Newlan, producing timeless pieces of attire for little ones. Fable Baby uses natural organic materials which results in soft toned, lush clothing that is hand made and hand screen printed in Melbourne, Australia.

I remember the first time I saw the attire at one of the fair's in Sydney. I will admit it now but it is quite possible to fan girl over clothing. It was everything I dreamed, soft to the touch and just as precious as a newborn. I have loved Fable Baby apparel for some time I cannot wait till we have our first child so I can spoil them with all the organic and adorable clothing Fable Baby has to offer.

Design Boards Feb/March

As I was saying in an earlier post.
Its so easy for me to let my heart fall in love with traditional, classic nurseries and kids rooms.
Yes its 2015 and big bold colors all the rage, but who can't not love
the comfort, lushness, soft tones of a traditional room.
Inspired I have designed these rooms,
all the products are from R&H Baby and Child.

Enjoy

R&H Baby

Although I adore the modern, hip, brightly colored, imaginative nursery decor and linens.
Its so easy for my heart to go back to traditional, chic, proper, classical, timeless nursery products, especially the ones from rh baby and child.

The romantic cribs, the soft linens, the cosy feel of love and comfort that they bring just makes my heart a little bit bigger inside.

I imagine a lovely room with big Georgian windows, sweeping curtains, natural light, soft tones of creams, a antique crib, a lush looking rug and the sweet sounds of birds chirping outside the window as you hum a loving lullaby.

This is what these products make me imagine and dream about.
